Hi, we are Courtney and Landyn! We are very grateful for your time and are happy to share as much as we can about our story and our dream of adoption.

We met when we were children, growing up in the same church in a rural community in Washington state. We began dating in high school—even though we attended rival high schools across the river from each other. We have fond memories of cheering for each other, like when Courtney suited up for her volleyball team.

We dated long distance after high school when we went to different colleges on opposite sides of the state. After making the six-hour drive back and forth for a couple of years, we got married in the summer of 2013. The very next morning, we moved to Indiana together for graduate school. We like to call that three-day road trip in a jam-packed car our “honeymove.”

We lived in Washington, D.C. from 2019 to 2022. Even though we recently moved to New Orleans for work, Landyn's brother and many of our close friends still live in the D.C. area, so we visit multiple times each year. We've really enjoyed our time so far in New Orleans, including dozens of family-friendly parades throughout the year.

Our families have never been limited to biology. Because of our experiences, we decided before we married that adoption would be our only choice for growing our family. The more we learned about adoption, the more excited we became. We could not be more thrilled to become parents through adoption.
